at the allotment

We went to the allotment yesterday and had almost 3 hours of very muddy fun!

Rosie enjoyed climbing the pile of leaves in the car park, and all three children helped to carry trugs back to use as a mulch on the onions we planted in the autumn.

Rosie had a very interesting way of distributing the leaves!

William drank LOTS of hot chocolate and had a rather fetching hot chocolate moustache.

Rosie and Edward found the muddiest parts of the allotment.

I had to put the trousers through the wash twice to get all the mud out!

Thanks to William, Rosie and Edward for taking these wonderful photos!

Five go wild in 2011

The beginning of the year brought chickenpox for all three children, a self inflicted haircut for Rosie

and William’s first visit from the Tooth Fairy.

We’ve had a lot of fun outdoors …

  in a fire engine,
 at Old Sarum,
 in the garden,
                    at Avebury.

We also got an allotment …

                                  where everyone dug,

Nick built a shed from scratch,

… William looked after the beans and Edward and Rosie did the watering.

Happy Christmas from us all!
